Lobster Season in Madagascar 2025

Around 70% of spiny lobsters produced by Madagascar are fished in the villages which belong to the area called Sainte Luce located in the south-east of the island. Every year the region produces around 300 tonnes of this precious delicacy, most of which is then exported to Europe and Asia. But some of them are available at local restaurants. Don't hesitate to try a Malagasy​ style lobster – cooked with tomatoes with a side dish of coconut rice.
