Set on equator, Kenyan avocado production lasts for longer seasons and enjoys ideal conditions for natural ripening of this tropical fruit. Moreover, since the farms are situated in Mt Kenya region with high altitudes, the crop protection requires little, thus making it purely organic. The two most known types of avocado that are grown here are Hass lasting from June to September and Fuerte, harvested from March to April. During the rest of the year avocado of other types is available.
