Pumpkin Season in Slovenia 2025
Any trip to Slovenia is not complete if you haven’t tried some national pumpkin dishes!

Pumpkin in served as the main ingredient for two quite important elements of Slovenian cuisine. First one is pumpkin seed oil which in combination with honey or olive oil serves as a delicious dressing for salads or is used to intensify the flavor of desserts. It is also used in preparation of the second important pumpkin dish—pumpkin soup, which can be found in almost any Slovenian restaurant.
