Between late September and early October, fresh and cooked apple odors permeate the air in Hilton, New York. This timeframe is the peak of apple harvest across local farms when Hilton Apple Fest comes around. The annual tradition draws 50,000 festival-goers from the state and beyond, who come for tons of crispy apple treats, but not only.

Hilton Apple Fest Activities and Events

The event boasts a jam-packed program of family-friendly activities. Expect live entertainment from local artists, pony rides, a crafts market, and kids' performers. One of the most amazing highlights of the festival must be the Hilton Apple Fest Car Show, held on Saturday.

Hilton Apple Fest Photo Contest

For the first time since COVID-19, the Hilton Apple Fest Photo Contest is returning in 2024 with the theme “Here Comes the Sun.” Participants can submit their best pictures that show any aspect of the sun. There will be prizes in three categories: Adult, Teen, and Kids. Prizes for adults are $100 for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third. Teen prizes are $80, $40, and $20. Kids’ prizes are $40, $20, and $10. The photos will be displayed at this year’s Apple Fest.

Festival Hours

The Hilton Apple Fest takes place on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and on Sunday from 10 am to 4:30 pm.

Admission and Parking

The Hilton Apple Fest is a non-commercial organization that provides free entertainment to locals and guests while educating the public on local apple growers, harvest season, and the village's history. You can benefit from free parking and a shuttle available at the high school.

Location

The village of Hilton is tucked in Monroe County, eastern part of New York state. We recommend booking your stay in advance to save yourself a cozy getaway and fully enjoy the festivities.

Festival History

The first edition of the Hilton Apple Fest was held in 1981, founded by Hilton Businessmen Patrick Marlow and Douglas Marple. This festival offered free family entertainment while celebrating the apple harvest season, the Hilton/Parma community, and local apple growers. Over $100,000 was donated to Charity during the first 25 years of the Fest.
