Garden of Lights in Honor Heights Park

Muskogee, located in Central East Oklahoma, is home to some of the state's finest Christmas light displays. Among its holiday treasures is the Garden of Lights, where Honor Heights Park transforms into a magical winter wonderland. Just a five-minute drive away, visitors can also experience Castle Christmas at the Castle of Muskogee, another enchanting seasonal destination.

Garden of Lights in Honor Heights Park (November 28, 2024–January 1, 2025)

Honor Heights Park holds the core Christmas lights event famous far beyond Muskogee. Garden of Lights is a drive-through display featuring 1.2 million twinkling lights. Nearly 300,000 holiday-makers arrive to see this winter wonderland, comprised of gardens, ponds, and a waterfall, lavishly decked out in shimmering decor. The show runs daily from Thanksgiving Day to New Year's Day. The lights go on at 5:30 pm and shut down at 10 pm on Sunday–Thursday and 11 pm on Friday–Saturday.

Visitors can attend the North Pavilion Concession for hot cocoa, popcorn, and a sweet treat. Concession hours are from 5:30 pm to 9 pm daily. Admission is $10 per car and is free on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Besides the display, on December 7 there will be held the Garden of Lights 5k & Fun Run.

Castle Christmas at the Castle of Muskogee (November 28–December 31, 2024)

Christmas illumination is equally charming at the iconic Castle of Muskogee. Like the Garden of Lights, Castle Christmas is a drive-thru experience, running typically from Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve, from 5:30 pm to 10 pm. Visitors can marvel at over 2,000 displays and thousands of twinkling lights, with some reaching up to 20 feet in height. You can bring the whole family for a ride on a tractor-drawn, old-fashioned hayride or hop aboard the Christmas Train for a pleasant journey through the festive displays.

Admission is free, yet donations are much appreciated. Additional outdoor attractions, such as Christmas Train, Holiday Hayride, or Cletus the Camel, are available for a charge, varying from $7 to $10. Castle Christmas will also offer camel and pony rides for the kids, along with a special visit from Santa and Rudolph. Don't miss the opportunity to take memorable photos.

Downtown Muskogee Christmas Parade (December 16, 2024)
