Portland offers some of the best new years eve celebrations, from the famous firework displays out at Mount Hood to indie jams, river cruises, hotel parties, lively nightclub events, midnight fun runs, and the iconic Champagne Ball. Taking place since 1990, the Champagne Ball has helped around 40,000 people celebrate the New Year in style. This "dress to impress" event is held at the Hilton Portland and offers 18 bars so you can dance all night away.
Another popular New Year's Eve option is to cruise down the picturesque Willamette River that offers a perfect setting for a celebration. So welcome on board the Portland Spirit, where the evening comprises of live entertainment, a fine dining buffet, and of course, the flux of champagne.
