Numerous rivers that flow through Romania offer plenty of opportunities for whitewater rafting, canoeing, and kayaking. Beginners may safely learn the sports on rivers such as the Bistrita and Bistrita Aurie, Mures, Crisul Repede, Aries, Viseu, and Basca. Intermediate rafters will be satisfied with Basca, Jiu, Buzau, Vaser, Lapus, Rebra, Putna, and Rastolita rivers. If you crave for a truly serious and challenging adventure, then you should choose among Minis, Cerna, Mare, Rebra or Basca rivers. The season runs from April to Octber.
