Fond du Lac, which is translated from Franch as the "bottom of the lake" is a city in Wisconsin named due to its location at the south end of Lake Winnebago. Thanks to excellent recreation, Fond du Lac is a popular 4th of July destination. In addition to hiking and water sports, the city usually marks America's independence with the Americana Concert and Fireworks.
Americana Concert in the historic Bandstand in Lakeside Park features classic music by Fond du Lac Symphonic Band as well as patriotic favorites, marches, and music by American composers. The concert is followed by amazing fireworks on the lakefront.
Other 4th of July activities in Fond du Lac include flower displays, boating, picnics, and hiking in Lakeside Park, which occupies more than 400 acres (1.6 sq. km) on the south end of Lake Winnebago.
