Renowned worldwide for its Carnival, Sitges is a town in Catalonia, approximately 22 mi (35 km) southwest of Barcelona. The carnival, known as the "Wild Party," is packed with parades, parties, and shows. The gay-friendly town opens its doors to thousands of revelers every year in February.

You can observe colorful shows, dances, performances, and some of the best costumes in the world. Many prepare to surprise you with their appearance, and it promises to be one wild and crazy winter event you just can't miss.

Rua de la Disbauxa (Debauchery Parade) (February 11, 2024)

Sitges Carnival begins after the King of Carnival starts his rein. The culmination of the celebration occurs on Sunday, the day of the Debauchery Parade or Rua de la Disbauxa. The massive procession features over 40 floats and 2500 participants in the most incredible costumes. The parade, which kicks off on the beach promenade at 7:30 pm, attracts about 300,000 people.

Rua de l’Extermini (Extermination Parade) (February 13, 2024)

Rua de l’Extermini or Extermination Parade hits Stiges on Shrove Tuesday. It's the final big party of the Carnival, which is marked by a massive procession with 50 colorful floats, and 10,000s costumed revelers. The parade kicks off at 9 pm. going through Stiges historic streets and ending with a big street party on the beach,
