Halloween Half Marathon 2024 in Miami
A fun costumed run on the beautiful Miami Beach
Dates: October 26, 2024
Halloween Half Marathon & Freaky 4-Miler takes place every year at the end of October in Miami Beach. A costumed Halloween-themed run is a healthy alternative to pub crawls and Halloween parties. Participants are encouraged to dress up in a scary or funny costume, so you have a great chance to run your 13.1-mile (21 km) or 4-mile (6 km) course surrounded by monsters, zombies, superheroes, villains, body paint, and animal characters. Costumes are optional, of course, but most runners use their chance to impress the cheering crowds. The Halloween Half Marathon has been held since 2009, becoming one of the most popular fall events in Miami.
Run Schedule & Location
The Halloween Half Marathon starts at 6:30 am, while Freaky 4-Miler is set to begin at 6:45 am. Both races start and finish at the junction of 7th Street and Ocean Drive in Miami Beach. If you'd like for your children to participate as well, there's a kid-friendly event, Trick or Treat Kids Dash, which takes place at 10 am. Parking is available near the marathon route but is extremely limited, so it's recommended to use public transportation or carpool.
Finishers receive Halloween-themed medals, which might become collectible since each year has a different theme: bats, skeletons, or werewolves. This race is open to runners of all levels. If you prefer to walk, the four-mile distance would be the best.
Participation Fees
To participate in the half-marathon, one must pay a $85 fee. If you're running in a group of four or more people, the cost of participation is $80 per person. The Freaky 4-Miler costs $45 per individual and $40 per person in a group of four or more. Trick or Treat Kids Dash costs $20, and children between the ages of three and nine can enter.
