San Kriol Jazz Festival 2024 in South Africa

Every year, jazz performers and fans from all walks of life get together in Cabo Verde, Africa, for the Kriol Jazz Festival–a top-notch jazz culture event. The occasion celebrates African aesthetics, showcasing Cabo Verde's lengthy history and rich cultural heritage. Beyond the local authenticity, the festival features some of the most outstanding musicians in the world, presenting a variety of musical styles that include not only jazz but also Latin, blues, and African rhythms. In other words, everyone will have something to listen to at the event.
Schedule of Performances
Day 1 kicks off at 9 pm with PRET & BRONK FT VAMAR from Cabo Verde, followed by the captivating sounds of OS TUBARÕES from the same region at 10:20 pm. As the night progresses, the stage comes alive with the rhythmic beats of MANOU GALLO from Ivory Coast at 11:40 pm, leading to a climactic performance by JOWEE OMICIL, representing Haiti/Canada, starting at 1 am.
Day 2 commences at 9 pm with MIRRI LOBO, showcasing the vibrant rhythms of Cabo Verde. Following at 10:20 pm is the soulful voice of CARMEN SOUZA, blending the musical heritage of Cabo Verde and Portugal. As the night deepens, TRIO 368° takes the stage at 11:40 pm, weaving together the sounds of Mali, Ivory Coast, and Cameroun into a tapestry of harmonious melodies. Finally, the night culminates with KAHIL EL'ZABAR from the USA, bringing a unique flair and energy at 1 am.
Activities
The multi-day festival features performances, workshops, and exhibitions and allows local artists to display their abilities and network with audiences and other international artists. One-day tickets cost 1500 ESC, while two-day tickets are priced at 2500 ESC. The venue is located at Praça Manuel António Martins in Santa Maria, Sal.
