Dragon Fruit or Pitaya in Taiwan 2025
If you're looking to try something new and exotic there's no better choice than a dragonfruit!

Pitaya, or dragon fruit, is harvested from a South American cactus. Its rosy-pink colour and green sprouts will make your fruit bowl look fantastic. This fruit has been hailed as remarkably healthy; it can regulate blood sugar levels for those with diabetes as well as provide a dose of anti-oxidants and a mega-dose of vitamin C. Pitaya is also thought to help lower cholesterol. The tiny black seeds are a great source of healthy Omega-3 fat and there's plenty of magnesium and calcium in the flesh. This fruit may look strange but it has a wonderful taste and is certainly worth a try.
