Every October, the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) invites kids and adults to experience Halloween fun. Playland transforms into Fright Nights, a thrilling Halloween-themed event featuring haunted houses, rides, eerie décor, and live performances.
Attractions
Fright Nights boasts nearly a dozen haunted houses, including The Bloodshed (perhaps the scariest one), The Void, Keepers Doll Factory, Darkness, and more. Thrill-seekers can also enjoy exciting rides like Bug Whirled, Dizzy Drop, and Tea Cups. It's the perfect place for a Halloween that's both terrifying and fun.
Schedule
Fright Nights operates on select nights from October 4 to 31. Hours are usually from 6 pm to 11 pm or from 6 pm to 12 am, depending on the date. Weekends are historically the busiest times, so consider visiting on weekdays for quicker access to rides and attractions.
Tickets
Fright Nights can be accessed from the Playland Entrance at East Hastings and Windermere St. Due to high demand, tickets should be purchased in advance for a specific date. Tickets are valid for a single night's admission. Prices vary based on the date: for October 4-6, tickets are $30 online and $35 on-site; for October 12-16, tickets are $47 online and $52 on-site; and for October 17-31, tickets are $57 online and $62 on-site. Visitors can also opt for a Fright Nights Rapid Pass, which includes general admission plus one priority access line visit to each haunted house and five select rides. Fright Nights have limited availability and may sell out.
Rules & Restrictions
Fright Nights is recommended for those aged 13 and older. Costumes, cosplay attire, decorative masks, and any form of face paint are not permitted; visitors will need to remove any such items before entry. This event is designed to be a casual, family-friendly experience, so attendees should dress comfortably, wear sturdy walking shoes, and check the weather forecast beforehand. Outside food and drinks are not allowed within the event. The only animals permitted are registered service animals assisting guests with disabilities.
