Incredible mix of water, light and music making a great performance

The Magic Fountain has become a symbol of a picturesque district of Montjuic. It was constructed for 1929 Barcelona International Exposition despite skepticism that such a bold project can be realised in a short term. In 1980 music was incorporated with the lightshow. Now it features classical and modern music hits. In the winter period the fountain works just on Saturdays and Fridays. During the summer season, it works Thursday through Sunday with extended hours till 11 p.m.
