Most of us love cherries on top of cakes, cherry jam, and even tiny marinated cherries in a glass of sweet liquor. Visiting Cyprus in June-July gives a great chance to taste meaty purplish-black cherries right from the tree.
Several villages which in the Troodos Mountains hold Cherry Festivals annually in the beginning of summer. Pedoulas and Kampos villages, being the most popular among tourists, let everyone relive memories from childhood, climb trees, and join the cherry harvest with locals.
