Kernersville 4th of July Community Concert & Fireworks Featured in
Besides the most famous 4th of July festivals in North Carolina, you can always consider some smaller community celebrations for a change. The town of Kernersville, 10 miles (16 km) east of Winston-Salem, offers a great schedule of events for the whole family. Local festivities open at 8:30 am with a 5K run, followed by a red, blue, and white parade at 9 am. The evening program begins at 5 pm and features food trucks, live entertainment starting at 6:30 pm, and fireworks at 9:15 pm. Kernersville 4th of July wraps up by 10 pm. Note that the event runs thanks to its sponsors, namely Lawrence & Etta Lea Pope Foundation, Kernersville Chamber of Commerce, Best Logistics Group, and TOK Parks & Recreation.
