The annual Young Men's Business League South Texas State Fair in Beaumont offers rides, a beer garden, a free entertainment stage, and exhibitions in Ford Park. Children can get busy in a kids' entertainment zone with a carnival midway, petting zoo, dairy show, and pony and camel riding.
Food is a significant attraction here, and iconic deep-fried meals are served on every corner: gumbo, kebabs, and crispy bacon-wrapped chicken. You can even find alligator in a Cajun food booth and, of course, legendary fried green tomatoes. Make sure to visit the fair on your diet cheat day, because this place has a lot to offer.
Vendors have been serving their best foods for over 100 years. Even though the fair had to be canceled a few times throughout its history, Beaumont State Fair keeps its festive spirit. Sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, volunteers, and fair-goers gather annually to celebrate Beaumont’s heritage and entertainment. All together, this event brings 500,000 visitors every year.
Ticket prices range from $5 to $10. Be ready to pay separately for rides and special events or to purchase the unlimited ride wristband for $35. The fair also offers free parking for everyone and free admission for kids under 2 years.
