For three days, the Oeiras municipality in Portugal turns into a place of pilgrimage for indie and rock music admirers. NOS Alive is one of the most vibrant annual summer festivals in Europe, bringing together world-famous artists and local musicians. Every year, six stages—rock, alternative rock, pop, electronica, fado, stand-up comedy—host dozens of well-known musicians and performers.

Festival's LineUp

The festival lineup for July 11 to July 13 is packed with an incredible array of artists. On July 11, performances by Arcade Fire, The Smashing Pumpkins, Benjamin Clementine, Black Pumas, Jessie Ware, Kenya Grace, Ullinex A Gpu Panic, Nothing But Thieves, Parcels, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. The excitement continues on July 12 with headliner Dua Lipa, alongside Tyla, Ashnikko, Aurora, Floating Points, Gloria Groove, Larkin Poe, Michael Kiwanuka, Nathaniel Rateliff Sweenight, The Heavy, T-Rex, Genesis Owusu, Jüra, and Tourist. Closing out the festival on July 13 are Pearl Jam, Sum 41, Alec Benjamin, Khruangbin, Sofi Tukker, The Breeders, and The Cat Empire.

Tickets & Location

Ticket options include a 3-day pass priced at £182.97, 2-day passes at £152.15, and single-day tickets available for £76.07. Attendees must be at least six years old to enter. All the action happens at Passeio Marítimo de Algés.

History of the Festival

The first edition of the event dates back to 2007, when the festival was called Optimus Alive. Since that moment, not only did the gathering change its name to NOS Alive, but also hundreds of artists performed on its stages: Radiohead, Foals, M83, Pearl Jam, the White Stripes, Bob Dylan, Metallica, Deftones, Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode.
