Program Highlights
The festivities kick off with a training day on Saturday, June 1, from 12 pm to 6 pm, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the preparations for Kjeller Flydagen. Visitors can mingle with pilots and explore aircraft at Småflyhavna. The main event takes place on Sunday, June 2, beginning with gates opening at 10 am. Highlights include model aircraft displays, helicopter tours, and a diverse array of ground exhibits leading up to the official opening at 12pm. The flight program, featuring various aircraft demonstrations, unfolds throughout the day, with visiting aircraft departing at 5pm and normal traffic resuming at 6 pm.
Aircraft Lineup
As for the aerial displays, spectators can anticipate a dynamic showcase featuring a mix of aircraft, including Tiger Moths, L-4 Grasshoppers, Saab Safir, Fairchild Cornell, Cessna Bird Dog, Harvard, and possibly iconic planes like the Spitfire, JAS Gripen, and Saab SK60. Additionally, helicopter sightseeing tours and flights aboard the DC-3 Dakota may also be available.
While round-trip flights are not offered during the event itself, enthusiasts can book flights or gift experiences online in advance, providing a chance to soar in iconic aircraft such as the Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth, PT-19 Fairchild Cornell, and North American T-6 Texan.
