Mango Season
Mango Season

The mango season in Los Cabos begins in late July and lasts until the end of September. During this time, the fruit is really cheap, and you can buy mangos cut into pieces right from the street food vendors, or try dozens of dishes made from this great fruit. Some of the most popular treats include Mangate dessert or tajíin.

Mango Festival (the last week of July)

The annual mango festival in the small town of Todos Santos opens the fruit season in the region and becomes the epicenter of true mango madness. Besides various fruit-based delights for every taste, the program features a queen of mangoes competition, a horse parade, and performances by local musicians.

The history of mango cultivation in the Cabo San Lucas region dates back to Spanish times when the fruit was brought to Mexico from India. Mangoes are now an integral part of the country's gastronomic heritage.
