The Reggae Marathon in Negril is a highly-acclaimed unique Jamaican event with an international appeal. It is held annually over a two-day period starting on the first weekend of December and is considered to be top notch. This is an event where marathoners, beginners, as well as sports enthusiasts gather for a fun run with lots of pulsating reggae music and good vibes being inevitable components of this Jamaican premier marathon and half-marathon. At every mile during the race, diligent volunteers offer water and re-hydration fluids while enthusiastic supporters cheer up participants along the looped course.
The price of the race depends on the distance and the time of registration. The registration fee includes a finisher medal, athletic bag, an official T-shirt as well as entry to the post-race Victory Beach & Awards Party and the world acclaimed, gourmet, "World's Best Pasta Party," held the night before race day. There is also an Expo featuring some of the best arts & craft products on the island.
