Corpus Christi 2025 in Machu Picchu and Cusco

Among many religious festivals in Cusco, this one is also a mixture of Catholic and Inca traditions. It is celebrated 60 days after Easter, which this year is on June 4th. From the Catholic side, it is a time when it is believed that 15 saints and virgins come to “greet” Christ’s body, and for the ones who still celebrate Inca tradition, it is the time of harvest and the time when 12 different local dishes are prepared and eaten.
