Throughout the country, orchids decorate the streets, gardens, and homes. There are around 1300 recognized species of orchids in Costa Rica, most of them (but not all) having a fantastic scent.
You can marvel at orchids in Lankester Botanical Garden, Botanical Orchid Garden La Garita, Jardín de Guarias, La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park, Monteverde Orchid Garden, Caribbean Botanical Garden, and Piedras Blancas National Park. For example, Monteverde Orchid Garden has 426 different species of orchids and welcomes everyone to enjoy them from 10 am to 5 pm every day. The ticket price is $10 for adults and $7 for students. The flowers bloom at the beginning of the rainy season, usually around May.
