Since May 25th, 1946 Jordan has been a kingdom independent from Britain. The Day of Independence is annually celebrated through patriotic parades, traditional concerts, and other typical performances. The major celebration is usually held at Raghadan Palace and is attended by royal family of Jordan: King Abdullah, Queen Rania, and Crown Prince Hussein.
Independence Day events are held across the country. Multiple military parades occur in the capital city of Amman, and also in Irbid and Aqaba provinces.
