One of the most iconic locations for plum blossom viewing in Beijing is the Ming Dynasty City Wall Relics Park. This historical site, built during the Ming Dynasty, is home to over 1,000 plum trees spanning more than 50 varieties.

The ancient city wall provides a striking contrast to the vibrant blossoms, making it a favorite spot for photography enthusiasts. The park is open 24/7, while the Southeast Tower is accessible from 9 am to 5 pm. Park entry is free, but visiting the Tower costs 10 Renminbi. Restrooms are available, and the park is close to Chongwenmen subway station, making it easily accessible. Best Photo Spots are long the 1 mile (1.5 km) stretch of the wall and near the Southeast Tower.

Zhongshan Park

Located in the heart of Beijing, Zhongshan Park is another prime destination for plum blossom enthusiasts. The park features a dedicated plum garden on the south side of Huifang Garden, with over 100 plum trees representing more than 30 varieties.

The garden at Zhongshan Park showcases three major plum blossom lineages in China: true plum, apricot plum, and cherry plum. The combination of green pines, bamboo, and blooming flowers creates a serene atmosphere, perfect for leisurely strolls and photography. Zhongshan Park operates daily from 6:30 am to 8:30 pm. Entry costs 3 Renminbi, with discounts for children and seniors. Conveniently located near the Tiananmen West subway station, the park offers easy access to visitors. Additionally, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City are both within walking distance, making it a perfect spot for a full day of cultural exploration.
