Cherry Blossom in Stockholm 2025
Dive deeper into the cherry blossom beauty in the capital of Sweden
Best time: March 29–April 28
Did you know that Stockholm has the official Day of the Cherry Blossom? And it's April 28. However, mother nature always has its own plans, and the trees can start blooming from late March, making late March–late April the best time to visit Stockholm to see cherry blossoms.
In this article, we've put together the best places in the capital of Sweden to witness the cherry trees turning into tiny pink and white clouds. Welcome spring in the most beautiful way!
Cherry Blossom Festival in Kungsträdgården
Kungsträdgården is first on the list of the most beautiful spots to see cherry blossoms in Stockholm, and for a good reason. Every spring, over 50 cherry trees bloom brightly and impressively, drawing scores of people.
More interestingly, Kungsträdgården hosts an annual cherry blossom festival during the season. It features Bunraku puppet theater from Chiryu-city (UNESCO world cultural heritage), Taisho-koto Japanese traditional music, Geiko Mai dance, plenty of food, and art.
Luma Park
Luma Park is located in an urban area in South-East Stockholm. Since it sits right by the coastline, there are ferry links to the city center, making it easy (and picturesque!) to get there. The park is filled with urban design solutions, creating a wonderful contrast between tender pink blossoms and the concrete. One more way to get to Luma Park is to use the Luma Tvärbanan, which runs directly through the park's center. Easy-peasy.
Bysistorget, Hornsgatan
Bysistorget is a small but charming area filled with cafes, restaurants, and shops. Located within 200 meters from the heart of Mariaberget, it features a row of large Bonsai trees, which bloom brightly in spring. You can head to the square's gardens near the Melvqist, enjoy a cup of coffee, and look at the passers-by enjoying the blossoms.
