Cornwall Christmas Markets 2024 in England

Historic Cornwall, with its rugged coastline and beautiful beaches, is a great place to visit to get into the Christmas spirit. Cozy villages and towns, excellent seafood, and beautiful Christmas markets draw in many visitors to Cornwall during the festive season. The county hosts several vibrant Christmas markets and celebrations, including Fowey Christmas Market, Truro Christmas Market, and Saltash Christmas Festival.

Fowey Christmas Market (November 22-24, 2024)

Fowey Christmas Market is held for one weekend in late November or early December. The market is set up at Fowey Town Quay, along Albert Quay, Webb Street, and near Town Hall. The holiday event features about 100 market stalls, offering unique gifts from Cornish artisans and the best produce from local farmers and restaurants. Entertainment includes Christmas music and carols. Father Christmas and Fowey Town Band Parade kick off the festivities.

Admission to the event is completely free; you only need to pay for the vendor's goods. The event operates from 5:30 until 8:30 pm on November 22nd, from 10 am until 5:30 pm on November 23rd, and from 10 am until 4 pm on November 24th.

Truro Christmas Market (November 22-December 24, 2024)

Every year, the open-air Farmers Market in Truro turns into a Christmas market during the holiday season, from late November through Christmas Eve. The popular market offers unique decor and excellent food. The vibrant festivities take place along Lemon Quay and feature dozens of stalls, winter activities, and entertainment options.

A free event for an entire family, the hours for Truro Christmas Market vary depending on the week. During the first week, the market is open from 9 am until 9 pm on Fridays and from 9 am until 5 pm on all days, except for Sundays, when it's open from 10 am until 4 pm. On the second week, the market operates from 9 am until 9 pm on Wednesday, and from 9 am until 5 pm on all days, except for Sundays. The same goes for the third, fourth, and fifth weeks. On Christmas Eve, the market closes at 4 pm.

Made in Cornwall Christmas Fair in Truro (December 20-21, 2024)

Truro also hosts the one-day Made in Cornwall Christmas Fair on Lemon Quay in mid-December each year. Right before Christmas, prepare to be enveloped in the warmth and festivities of the local shopping extravaganza. Taking place at the Truro Cathedral, the event draws in traders, crafters, and producers from all over Cornwall. The event spans from 10 am until 5 pm on Friday and from 10 am until 3 pm on Saturday.

Saltash Christmas Festival (December 7, 2024)

Known as the Gateway to Cornwall, the town of Saltash in south Cornwall hosts its own vibrant celebration to kick off the holidays. Christmas Festival is held on Fore Street on the first weekend in December. Organized by the Saltash Chamber of Commerce, the event features dozens of stalls with unique Christmas gifts. Starting from 1 pm until 7 pm, the street transforms into a vibrant Christmas village with food, entertainment, and a fabulous shopping experience. The festival also features the Lantern Parade and The Saltash Santa Fun Run. Participants will get a Santa suit for some extra holiday fun.
