Lake Julian Festival of Lights 2024

A magical display with animated and stationary light displays

Dates: December 2-23, 2024

Lake Julian Festival of Lights is the favorite Christmas attraction in south Asheville. The annual drive-through, which operates in December, features about 50 spectacular light displays at the county park at Lake Julian. The road circling the park turns into a winter wonderland with dazzling tunnels and shimmering, animated, curtain, and stationary light displays. Among the highlights of the display are the beautiful twinkling lights over the lake. Visitors can also tune into the local station playing Christmas hits for an immersive experience.

The annual Lake Julian Festival of Lights is open daily from 6 to 9 pm. Admission is $10 per vehicle. The loop trail takes about 10 minutes to drive. The festival has been held for over 20 years, becoming a popular family-oriented experience in Asheville. This three-week celebration of the Christmas spirit can't be missed!
