Try an unusual sweet-salty combination of melon and Spanish ham (jamón). This dish looks fantastic on a plate and has a great aftertaste. Melon is cleaned and sprinkled with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and lightly sprinkled with pepper. Rolled up pieces of a Spanish ham is placed on top. Ready-made ham when serving should be sliced extremely thin. It is often served with olives, rucola, and green onions.

This fantastic dish is in season during melon harvest which is often claimed to be Spaniards' favourite fruit. Order it in any of local bars between May and September. It's best complimented with a glass of fine Spanish wine!
