Goa's waves aren't extremely high or very strong like in Australia or Hawaii, but they are stable—from one to three meters. This is a perfect place for beginners. The best place to try some surfing is between Arambol and Calangute and the most suitable time is from April till May. This destination is also known to be a good spot for kite surfers and is suitable for riders of all skill levels. Some other famous kite surfing spots in Goa include Morjim, Arambol, and Ashwem beaches which mainly attract tourists during the dry winter season from October till April.

Wind surfing is also quite popular in Goa. If you are a beginner, you'll be comfortable at Dona Paula beach. This is an ideal location with calm seas and light winds. The best time for wind surfing is in the morning, as the afternoon winds are stronger and attract more experienced windsurfers. Best places for windsurfing can be found on Vagator Beach, Calangute Beach, Palolim Beach, and Baga Beach. The best season for this activity runs from January to March.
