The Chartered Nairobi Marathon is Kenya's largest single-day athletic event, drawing over 15,000 participants each year. Known for its spectacular scale, the marathon will adopt a hybrid format this year, featuring both a physical event in Nairobi and satellite runs in Kisumu, Kakamega, and Mombasa. Celebrated for its long-distance runners, the marathon caters to both experienced athletes and amateurs. A significant portion of the proceeds is donated to local charities, underscoring the event's commitment to community support.

Start Times

The Marathon (42 km) starts at 06 am, followed by the Half Marathon (21 km) at 06:45 am. The Corporate Challenge and 10 km Race both begin at 08 am, with the 5 km Race starting at 09:30 am.

Route

The physical marathon will be run along the Southern Bypass in Nairobi with a great view of the Nairobi National Park. The start point is outside Carnivore on Southern Bypass Road, and the finish point will be inside Uhuru Gardens for 42km,21km, Wheelchair and Corporate challenge, while the 5km finish will be on the Southern Bypass.

Entry Fee

The entry fee to the Nairobi Marathon is 2,000.00 Kenyan Shillings.
