If you are looking for a cozier small-town holiday experience, Kingston Christmas Market is an excellent destination. The annual market, held from early November until Christmas Eve, hosts over 40 traditional wooden cabins with delicious foods and unique handmade gifts. The nearby Alpine Village features warm-up fire pits, a vintage carousel, and other entertainment.

Kingston upon Thames, located just 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Charing Cross, is known as the market town where Saxon kings were crowned. This ancient town promises tons of Christmas spirit in two main areas: the Ancient Market Place between Clarence Street and High Street and the Alpine Village in front of All Saints Church. So bring family and friends to enjoy festive treats and a glass of mulled wine while doing some holiday shopping! In addition to decor items, apparel, jewelry, and crafts, the market offers artisan cheese, preserves, and traditional iced gingerbread.

Foods at the market include a grilled Bavarian bratwurst, a hog roast Yorkshire pudding wrap, Belgian waffles, and more. The Pyramid Bar offers German beers, mulled wine, and spiced cider. The bar is located near the stage with free entertainment, like live music, stand-up comedy, local choirs, and Oompah bands!
