The waters from Queulat glacier that was formed some 50 000 years ago and now due to climate changes is melting down have found their way to fall down of a cliff wall in a spectacular scene. There is ice formed in the foot of the falls in the winter which covers at least half of it height, but melts in the summer enhancing the view with the strength of the nature. However sad the fact of the glacier melting, this fairly difficult to reach waterfall in the hanging valley of Ventisquero Colgante in the Queulat National Park is a spectacular signature of exactly how powerfull ​nature truly is.

It is ideal to visit the waterfall during December to February as it is the summer season, and the ice at the foot of the falls melts, providing a better view.
