Each May, since 1995, the capital of the Czech Republic is happy to meet runners from all around the world, as the Prague Marathon has grown into a significant international running event, being awarded Gold Label status. Over two-thirds of runners come to Prague from 55 different countries. The course of the marathon has been voted one of the most beautiful and is considered to be the seventh-fastest in the world.
The Prague Marathon happens over a weekend and includes several running events, such as The Hervis Prague Half Marathon, a 6.5 km skating event, Family Minimarathon 4.2 km, and the Allianz Eco Walk 2 km.
